Nice to meet you!
Born in 1986, I’ve been passionate about art and drawing all my life, probably a love sparked by my artist father. I took drawing courses early on to hone my skills, but took a break during my student years. Now, guided by artists on YouTube, I’m back with renewed dedication, refining my technique whenever I can.
In my (other) professional life, I’ve always thrived in creative environments, collaborating with designers, artists, and filmmakers to tell compelling stories. I’m inspired by the beauty of the world - people, animals, and objects - and aim to bring them and their stories to life through art that blurs the boundary between realism and imagination, leaving viewers to wonder: was this truly drawn by hand?
The beauty of detail
I love storytelling, drawing inspiration from the world around me - whether it's something I encounter in daily life, see on TV, read in books, or hear from others. My work is centered on capturing the essence of my subjects with meticulous detail, using charcoal to reveal the deeper emotions that lie beneath the surface. The stark contrast of black and white allows me to convey powerful stories and intense emotions in each piece. My aim isn't just to capture outer beauty but to uncover the inner emotions that bring each portrait to life. I want to tell stories and communicate them through the raw simplicity and strength of black and white. And sure, I might spend an absurd amount of time on a single drawing, but fuck it - I love it!
